Girl, Wash Your Face
A few months ago, I finally purchased Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. (I was a little late to the party.) I loved it from the very beginning. GWYF was the motivational kick in the ass that I needed at the time, as I was going through the process of building this site and navigating all the technical aspects that I had zero understanding of. Here’s a link to my post about Girl, Wash Your Face.
So, once I finished GWYF, I ordered Rachel Hollis’ next book, Girl, Stop Apologizing. It made its debut in March, so I wasn’t nearly as late to this party.
What I Love About Rachel Hollis
The thing I appreciate (and envy, if we’re being honest) most about Rachel Hollis is her authenticity. In GWYF, she talks about shaving her toes and occasionally peeing on herself due to a weakened bladder after three pregnancies. In GSA, she mentions the Instagram photo (that went viral) of her stretch marks. I would imagine authenticity is what most women who follow her appreciate about her as well.
Secondly, I would have to say I admire her determination to make her dreams come true despite any obstacles that come her way. Rachel makes no apologies for her big dreams, as no woman should.
My Favorite Quotes
I wanted to share some quotes from the book that resonated with me the most. Don’t forget to save the ones you like to Pinterest so you can reference them later.
